Why an ERP had to be built here, and not imported
African factories are told to choose between two impossibilities: a spreadsheet that forgets, or an international ERP whose licence, integrator and eighteen-month project cost more than the production line it is supposed to manage.
Bold Factory Less takes the third road. It was written next to the machines it manages, where a weighbridge ticket is compared with a load by hand, where a storekeeper counts on a phone standing in a warehouse, where a supplier delivers more than ordered and someone has to explain it.
That is why the software refuses to invent a figure it does not have, and why it says so out loud instead of printing a plausible number. A factory does not need a system that is always confident. It needs one that is right, and honest when it cannot be.
Bold Redhok Tech
Bold Redhok Tech is the company behind the software, and its official owner. It is growing on several fronts: alongside Bold Factory Less, it recently deployed Bold Bolt, a management solution for hardware stores, shops, supermarkets and points of sale. Other solutions are already in design.
Where we are going
In the coming years, Bold Factory Less will be more complete and more realistic for African factories than what SAP, Microsoft and the other large ERPs offer them today. Not by imitating them, but by starting from the factory floor they never visited.

For those who dig a little
The person behind the blueprint
Bold Factory Less was designed by Hemrick Kwaku OPOKU, a Ghanaian national, founder and head of Bold Redhok Tech.
He is a computer scientist specialised in blueprint architecture, and has proved his ability to think through systems for several firms and companies that called on him for white-label work. He is a developer himself, and has worked with and studied solutions such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo and Dolibarr. That is where his reading of how industry actually works comes from.
In 2023, at twenty-two, he launched his first project: Redhok Citizen, a national management solution following a citizen's course from birth through schooling, professional life, legal documents and international movements.
